SS Stands for Short Story, and this is a new series of 'Live Lives'. This series is basically a side series. The length of each story will be varied. Some of them will get shorter time or even slightly longer than the demo version of the main series of 'Live Lives'. One more thing you need to know is, some stories may be related to the main series. The unrelated ones are apparently, fillers, just in case you need refreshing time.
